Insulated Metal Roof & Ceilings Hardiboard v Marine Plywood

Compete renovation / redesign time !
New roof will update to insulated against heat. Any pointers as to metal roof make (Davao area) ?

Ceilings & some walls to be replaced but have read conflicting recommendations to replace with Marine Plywood or Hardiboard. While Marine Plywood certainly would work and has been used for ages I see there is a move to Hardiboard which is moisture / insect proof & hopefully longer lasting etc. I'm determined to minimize Insect, termite & mold problems with this project.

Anyone used Hardiboard and what was the result ?
