moving to the Philippines

i plan to arrive in early January 2016 and i know i'll get a visa for (21/ 30??) days, when i reapply should i try to get the 59 day one or should i try to get a longer one instead right off the bat. i plan on staying there and marrying my gf, even if it takes a while. i understand that it is possible to get a visa for 36 months then go out of country for a day and come back and do it all again. any help from you people is greatly appreciated, and would like to meet you some day, i plan to live in Luzon area near the SM north
