Mindanao

I am interested in the Cagayan De Oro or Daveo cities. I like quiet areas but also a social life. I am my early 60s and am retired now. I have lived in all of S.E.A. at some time in my life. I liked Thailand the. most for the food and cheap living but my retirement is just under what they want. I also liked PI for the beaches and people. I do not know Mindanao at all I have been in most of the other Islands. My am in my fixed income is $1000 a month is it possible in these cities. Would welcome any help. Will be arriving in PI around late March or early April. Thanks
