This topic has, in the past, made Expats uncomfortable, but it is something everyone should be aware of if they plan to live here. 12.18 million Filipinos–live in extreme poverty, which means they’re not able to eat three times a day. Recent whitewash data from the government is way off. There are 26.48 million impoverished Filipinos of the population of 100.7 million in 2015, More that 1/4. The gap between the rich and the poor is huge. This affects housing, education, litter, roads, health, relationships, family, everything. You can't compare it to the west.
