Cavite election violence

This morning the world BBC news page reported 7 shot dead in election related violence in Rosario, Cavite. Going to ABS-CBN one struggled to find it, but there was a short report of 7 killed and one wounded. An hour later that report had disappeared from the recent reports list. There was a general report on election problems, including violent incidents, but it wasn't included. A mayor was wounded in Samar!
So used to hearing and reading about a litany of violence in the South - especially on this forum - but I do wonder why this incident in an area close to the capital is being downplayed. Deliberate or accidental?
