Tourist visa extensions

It is pretty clear by what I have researched that Immigration offices do not make available all the facts for people who just want to stay on a tourist visa especially when it comes to when you overstay even by one day even though it may not be your fault as if you want to extend your visa for another 6 months provided your within the 3 year period they will only give you A 2 month extension even if your just one day overstay this needs to be put up on their website
