Medical costs

Our relative in Mabalacat(near Angeles)got heart attack and was brought to St.Rafael hospital. When he arrived there he had no brain activity but the doctor told relatives, that he will wake up in 3days.They kept him in the ICU for 3days (20000 pesos per day)The family, then on advice of a nurse living in the us,took him out ,but they had to come up with 113000 pesos. He was allready death. The family had to solicit funds from relatives and go around the neighborhood asking for donation. The funeral cost additional 65000pesos.Too poor to have Phil-Health.Many times I witness people going house to house asking for help with medical or funeral cost.It may be cheap to visit a doctor for a simple thing, but for a serious problem it could be costly.
