Getting paperwork ready for landing Nov12. On the checklist #1 is:
"Letter request addressed to the Commissioner through the Chief of the Alien Registration Division stating the purpose for the application;"

Is this just a typed letter stating why you're visiting and staying? And include it is for banking purposes?

Thanks in advance to anyone who recognizes this and can advise me.
