Hi y'all,
After leaving the Philippines in mid-April for Thailand (with a little bit of time in Malaysia and Lao) it looks like my wife and I will be heading back to the Philippines in mid-November.
We were living in the southeast part of Luzon in the Bicol region, not very far from Legazpi, but I'm not keen to return to that area, so I'm doing some research on other areas.
I'm considering Palawan but don't have a lot of information on it, it was just recommended by a couple of Filipino friends when I lived in Polangui, Albay. Can anyone enlighten me a bit?
My wife is campaigning for Santa Rosa, Laguna (or that general area) but it looks very crowded (on maps and satellite) and what I've found for places to live has been a bit on the expensive side. Any comments on this area?
I'm working online more these days, so I need to find someplace with at least decent Internet (not something I had on a regular basis in Polangui where I struggled many days to get more than 1 mbps).
It looks like we'll be back in the Philippines for maybe 6 months or so before we (potentially) head to the US, so I'd really like to find a furnished place to rent (we sold everything we had in Polangui before we headed to Thailand).
