Hello, I recently made a claim online and it just got approved. I will start receiving a benefit in February. I have a new dollar account at BDO that will be used for e-transfer. When I look at my account on the "My Social Security" website it shows the following.

Bank or Financial Institution: BANK OF NEW YORK MELLON
Account Type: Savings
I realize that BDO uses Mellon bank for the transfer, but I thought that it would also show my BDO account information. I went to BDO and asked the manager to see if the account was already linked and she said no and to check back after a while. If anyone else out there uses BDO for their social security auto-deposit, I would appreciate it if they could tell me if it only shows Mellon Bank, or should it also show my BDO banking details? Maybe it is still being processed? Anyway, I just want to know so I can take action if it is not linked soon.
