Beach Front Rental

Hello my wife and I are from Calif, USA and are thinking of retiring in the Philippines. My wife would like a beach house , would we be able to find safe livable / affordable rentals? What would be the cost? We would like a 2 bedroom (no snakes) with air con, and a live-in help. We don't want to live in major cities, but might prefer close by. Currently we live in a town of about 8,000 but we live close to San Francisco (45 miles / 2 hours drive)
