Mountains of Cebu

Hello,

We recently found that my Filipino wife of 36 years has acquired a small place in the mountains of Cebu, and nobody is using it. Must walk up from parked car. It sounds like a nipa hut with a pump well out front.

I believe it is isolated, without neighbors. You can see the ocean from that height.

She has close relatives there in Naga, Cebu. What I want to do is go up there camping for a month or so, pretty much by myself. I'll have a phone, and people to get supplies when needed. I'm a 63 year old white guy.

I know it is difficult to say, but generally, should that camping adventure be safe, regarding local folks in those hills?
