I have recently married a Filipino in the Philippines .I am from the United Kingdom but living and working in Sweden. As i am European citizen i do not require a visa to live or work there neither would my spouse.
We have the official marriage certificate already.
I have returned to Sweden for work and my new wife stayed in manila where she works untill the paperwork is sorted.
My question is what paper work needs to be completed for her to leave the Philippines. She tells me it might take 3 months or longer. Is this normal? And what paperwork is she referring too. Also is it possible to speed the process up. ?
I understand the need to give 1 months notice as she is a teacher but im still unsure why it would take so long for any other documents to arrive.
Any help with how the system works is appreciated,
