Marrying a separated filipina

Hello , I am looking to marry my filipina fiancee. She was previously married to Japanese foreigner but did not last. They were divorced in Japan about a year ago and she has legal divorce papers. My question is if we were to get married in Thailand would it make the marriage legal in Canada? We are trying to avoid going through the annulment process in the Philippines. Thanks
