Real Estate and Money Question

My wife is wishing to buy a small house and lot in the Philippines. She is from there but a US citizen now. She wants to pay cash but neither of us know the best way to get that much cash over there. I believe there are limits on how much you can bring with you. Do the banks there accept cashiers checks or bank drafts? Is it possible to wire money to the sellers bank account?
