Scary Stuff

I spent the majority of my military time in the far east... mainly Korea. But I've been married to a Filipina now for 14 years. I've visited the Philippines several time... wife's from Bulacan... I've visited Baguio and Tagaytay. On my visits I rarely ventured out and spent most of my time indoors or in an SM mall. My one thought while I was there was leaving and going home! The heat and humidity kicked my butt. My wife's brother has retired from his postal worker job in LA and is moving to Tagaytay so now my wife wants to move back home. I'm retired and my wife has a great job making good money but she want's to go home so she can stop working and hire a maid. She just about had me convinced... then I started reading this blog.... I don't understand why most of you retired there? All I've read is how hot, crowded, noisy, dirty, polluted, racist, and dangerous it is... I can move to LA and get that!
