What should I do

Ok, I have been on this forum for about 6 months and have listened to lots of comments about how the PH family will take advantage of the American husband ($$$$$$). They try to make you believe they need money for Medical or medications or whatever so I need some advise.

I live in California with my PH wife,
I came home from work and my wife was on the phone (face time) with her sister that lives in Davao.

I said hello to her sister not knowing the conversation they were having and her sister said hello can you help me (Crying) with my medical, I was caught off guard.

She seemed sincere so I told her go to the doctor and take whatever tests you need and lets see what it is so we can help her.

Now im wondering if this is true or is she trying to scam me for money?

Keep in mind Me and my wife will retire in PH in 5 years and I don't want them to think im a bank.

I really want to help but not set a president that I have money.
