Best Beach and Resort Destinations in the Philippines

My wife and I returned from Boracay a month ago. They don’t allow chairs on the beach and only a few smoking areas. The white marble sand was perfect and no rocks. Just a little sea weed. Great restaurants and nightlife. We stayed on the beach at the Bamboo Bungalows just steps from the mall and good restaurants at Station 1. Beach view rooms with a balcony for 2 at 2,700 pesos a night (low season) and 4,200 pesos a night ( high season). Don’t stay at the AirBNB there. Worst room and twice the cost. It’s difficult to travel there as you must also book van and passenger boat from Caticlan to get there. We’re going to Panglow Island and staying at the Alona Vida Beach Resort for 7 nights for 23,000 pesos. Many consider it the best or second best beach on the island. Brand new International Airport, a 400 peso ride for both of use by the hotel. Quick direct flight from Cebu or Davao. From Davao it’s 50 minutes. They now call the airport the Taglibaran airport as they closed the airport in Taglibaran City to rename Panglow airport. Don’t get confused by Google Earth. Amazing snorkelling and diving and lots else to see and do on the island. Don’t book a tour. Just hire a tricycle or car to take you to one or two destinations each day. They have a catered River tour there as well that’s amazing jungle with the smallest known monkey species. Check YouTube. Powder white sand, great restaurant and night life scene. People watching as much fun as the swarms if tropical fish off the local house reef. Just a short trip to Tagbilaran if you take the ferry from Cebu. Or check out the Chocolate Hills. Great beach scene.
