Likes:
The way families stick together and watch out for each other.

The abundant ocean that always reminds me how small I am.

The white smiles everywhere.

The inexpensive everything except gas.

The absence of pretentiousness.

The superstitions everyone seems to share.

The way Christianity is combined with Buddhism.

Filipinas who have to take a photo of absolutely everything.

Dislikes:

Tiny everything. Candy, food, buying detergent in tiny quantities, buying one cigarette..

The smell of burning petroleum in the streets.

The smell of open sewer beside the streets.

Rats in the streets.

Fish bones.

Terrible beef.

The feeling I am a target because of my skin tone (by a minority)

Only criminals have knives and guns.

Fearing cops (and I'm a retired cop)

Poverty.
