CNN reports nearly 2,000 infected and 56 dead as of Sunday Jan 26 12pm EST. With 5 cases reported in the US. One infected woman traveled from Wuhan China on Jan 13th with no symptoms. The virus can spread before symptoms occur. With the rate of infection increasing at 1.5 times per 24 hours. At 2,000 with spread before illness the true infection rate is much higher. Give people a 10 day window from infected to illness and the true number would be around 75,000 people.
With China notorious for under reporting bad news, who knows true number. One Chinese Nurse said 90,000 the other day.
Not to create panic but surgical masks are selling out on Amazon and infected USA areas. So a word to the cautionary, buy masks and stock up on neccessary food and water items if possible.
