I don't remember if I saw some statistic a few years ago or if I just made the conclusion by summing up from what I know. It seem marriage/long time live-in between Filipina and foreigner have much better chance to last if living in the Philippines than in the foreigner's home country.
I suppouse impossible to get corect statistics by a poll in a forum about Phils, because I suppouse a big part of burned foreigners skip the Philippines so they aren't at such forum. (As them I know and tell about further down.) But if "everyone" tell the cases they know, then we can perhaps see if it seem to be as the headline say.
A THEORY I have is it can depend of
/When living in Phils then the relation become more equal by both assist each other more there.
/When moving to foreigner's home country it's risk the MOTIVE the Filipina agreed to marry can be just to get the opportunity to get permit to stay there. And even if it wasn't the motive from start, some end up with geting bad influences from bad Filipinas living in the new country them gamble, cheat and look for new men to fool, which she never would have socialiced with in Phils, but do in the foreign country by feeling need to socialice with countrymen and there are less to chose from in the foreign country.
Even if not the motive from start and not by bad influence from others, perhaps some leave when they notice they have got opportunity to earn good by themselves by they have got better paid work in foreigner's home country.
Just "statistics" from the SWEDES I know. (Including when it's Thai women too. Most Swedes go to Thailand instead of Phils.)

/1 broken. By the Swede who was a big ass :) Dead now. Noticed then he was biganist, a wife still in Sweden, but married in Phils somehow anyway. He left Sweden to avoid jail.
Plus I know of one broken in Thailand.
Lived years first in Phils, then moved to foreigner's home country:
/1 good.
/1 dislike each other but live together still because they can't afford to live separate in Sweden. And partly for their 8yo daughter.
/1 divorced. The Filipina left both husband and their 5 kids !!! rather soon after the move to Sweden, after they had lived together around 15 years in Phils... She thought she had found a richer new man, but she thought wrong hahaha She has 8 mill pesos DEPT now with the new husband, while the husband she divorced has at least 10+ millions in assets in land and big condo by he is economic.
Moved to foreigner's home country "direct" :
/2 good. One still good after 10+ years. The other less time but she stay with that often drunk Swede! If I would have been her, I would have skiped him...
/1 dislike each other much but live together still because they can't afford to live separate. Plus the Swede is a sissy leting the bitch stay haha But to her defence I believe he misslead her not telling how bad economy he has, big struggle to cover the high living costs in Sweden.
/1 broken by him because she didn't acted as they had agreed when he agreed to finance all. (Not married.) She don't even do half of the household work expecting him to do all! But he let her rent a room in his villa cheap still just to be nice until she has earned enough to manage herself. (She started working full time recently.)
/X broken. I have lost count :) At least 10. In almost all the women broke the relation soon after they had stayed together enough (=2 years). to get permanent permit to stay...
