So i have done a search and cannot find the answer, i will be moving to the PH (Davao) in the next 6-12 months (Covid has put me behind)
I am marrying my Filipina next year, we will live in Davao with my having a UK based job with UK Employment contract and paying taxes there.
Rather than just renting i want to buy a house for us (yes i know i cannot own the house, yes i know its a risk blah blah and yes she is happy to live in a Condo but i want a secure house in a gated community not her requesting it)
I can easily afford 100k a month rent for a house and found some really nice ones but i want a house as we are planning a family together and i will be 45 so still a number of years to work before i fully retire, so would we be able to get a mortgage in her/our name?
Im not asking for relationship advice as already been through that once on here, im simply asking about if or how we can get a mortgage with her being a live at home wife and me working but for a UK company with a UK employment contract and paying UK rates and taxes into a UK account and transferring money to a PH account each month
Thanks
Tony
