Have any of you dealt with these international tax services, like the one advertising here on this forum? Here's the deal...I had HR Block prepare my taxes before I left the states in February. I had to file jointly, my wife is not a US citizen nor does she have a SSN. They came up with a way compliant with the tax laws to allow me to file with my wife as a non resident alien, no SSN or ITIN needed, however, it did require a signature from her on the forms. I brought the prepared forms to the Philippines to have my wife sign and then mail them back, mailed them back in March from the Philippines. Now we get to the good part. No refund check, no status on the IRS website. I've emailed HRBlock a few times about what to do. Now they quit responding to my emails. I emailed the IRS, no response. Their website says due to Covid19 there are delays, don't refile or call our office, you have until July 15. So what to do? I've even contemplated on going back home to go to an IRS office in person. Or maybe contact an international tax service. I don't really want the IRS on my A$$, just want to file and be done with it, you know, like I've done the for last 50 years...
I figure two things could've happened. Delays due to the COVID. Or the returns lost in the mail, maybe never even made it out of the Philippines.
Any thoughts, advice very much appreciated.
