Over the course of the last week or two I've been doing a bit of reading regarding Duterte's response to the so-called pandemic.
My understanding is that he has implemented various and oft-changing CQs over the months, and that the latest is his proclamation of an "extended state of calamity" well into September 2021.
But prior to that, Duterte had required social distancing on jeepneys, and now both masks and (apparently) face shields whenever one is out in public. I even had a friend on NegOcc tell me that the police had come into their community there and disallowed the local children from playing outside.
I would really love to get folks' thoughts on this issue, now that we're over 6 months into it AND Duterte's "extended state of calamity."
Thanks.
