Healthcare

I have a Pinay friend who is a senior nurse in the USA, Her Mother is a chief operating room nurse and her aunt is similarly high level in nursing.

Her view of my going to the Phils to retire is that it is akin to suicide because healthcare is generally poor and often unavailable, especially in the boonies. She allows that St. Lukes and Makati Medical are good hospitals but that most places are poor providers even when you are in a hospital.

Do you all share her view but take the risk or what do you really think?

We all agree that healthcare in Podunk is rarely as good as in the BIGCITY but that's true in the US as well. If I lived in Podunk, I would not expect the Mayo Clinic or Johns Hopkins care in town.

Is PR healthcare poor or is it hard to come by but good when you get it?
