Multi question for Telecommuters and visa holders

Good Morning from North Dakota,

This is my first post here. I have been to PR 7 times in the last 3 years, ranging from just 5 days to 2 months. My last trip ended 3 days after Taal blew its top and i have been trying to get back ever since but Covid has done its thing.

In September my wife to be had our daughter which now qualifies me for a Foreign Parent of a Filipino citizen visa, i am guessing a 9(A).

So here are my questions.

On the past trips i worked in the oil field and scheduled my trips within my scheduled work rotations. Now i am 100% remote. But every time i go there excpecially in Mindanao my phone (Verizon) service is crap. So those that telecommute, How do you do it? what service do you use? If you telecommute do you have to have a working visa?

Visa holders - I have never applied for a visa before, i always went Visa Free. I am a private person who still works and i dont really like sharing my bank statement with the consulate in chicago. My question is, how much show money did you present? whats the minimum to qualify for the visa?

Thanks for your responses,
Jeff
