moving to phillipines

I am a american that has been to the place only once so far and going to retair with my wife but am not sure where is a nice place to be, can someone give me suggestions and what about the whole thing of being near family verse not when it comes to living in the philipines. I like the people that I have meeet here in the states but not sure how I feel about everything. Seems like there is alot to learn and you have to be ready to live a very different type of life over there as well. Please help what to be i the somewhat country and the wife wants to do a store or food stand by the high as well. sewing services and possible have a singing machine for people to sing at as well. any suggestions for areas that might be good without flooding or problems
