A common joke or a lie?

Hi,

Okay this has been bugging me for awhile, but I need to ask for peace of mind.

I was in the company of someone that I know well, and tickling them. We know each other well enough to do that, and the person tickles ,e too. We clown around and tease each other sometimes

While tickling the person, was picking their nose a bit. We have allergies, so that can lead us to do so in private for example

However, while tickling them they rubbed the fingers from their nose on my shirt, and a bit later rubbing their fingers together above my arm. Now the person said that they pretended to do it, using different finger, and that it was a common joke in the Philippines.

I was quite distraught and that made the other person distraught. We smoked it over, but I notice it is still bugging me.

It's not the joke soo much as the person being honest. I Know this to be honest, although there can be cultural differences.

I can feel this situation gnawing at my trust, so I would like to know if these kinda jokes can be common?
