Leave your contact information with family members or friends abroad. I understand many people just want to get away from life and everyone, so they move to the Philippines. If you want loved ones to find you in case of an emergency, leave some information. I remember one time I took off to Surigao to meet someone and get away. I was in a Banka boat in the bay (Pacific Ocean) with strong waves and winds. I couldn't even see land anymore. I realized that no one knew where I was.
