Well, all good things must pass. My 24 day vacation is coming to an end. Tomorrow, My wife and I will take our PCR test at the Iloilo Provincial Hospital. We fly out the day after.
Our Cathay Pacific flight was cancelled and I'm still waiting for my refund credit to my Credit Card, but we booked a one way flight from PAL from Iloilo to Manila to LA. American Airlines from LA to Boston. Looks like we will be arriving to snow in Boston, hence my screen name, "Snowbound".
The stay here in Pototan far exceeded my most positive expectations. All the comforts of home. It was the first time I saw the house my wife and I built (she's been here every year for 8 years). I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it is here and I am more convinced than ever that I will be retiring in one year, right here in the RP.
I will periodically check in over the next year to let those who are interested know how things are going, and will give you an update on how everything turned out on our return trip. I have one more year of work to retirement and my retirement will be here, in the Philippines.
