I do kind of agree with amcan. Any time you have too much of a fallback option it can make things counterproductive. I mean knowing you have a way out. On the other hand, if you have no other options, you work harder to make sure you succeed, and it works out. Probably not a good analogy but the guy with a wife and a girlfriend...
