I am looking to move to Manila for work with my spouse and two children (grade 6) and would like to know of good schools, preferable with an American curriculum but without JEDI, DEI, or CRT.
I do not wish to debate the merits of these initiatives, but my kids are currently at a school which was once excellent, but very recently went completely JEDI. Last year my kids were taught that Europeans (or white people) invented slavery, this year they were taught Americans invented slavery. Virtually every lesson is geared to identifying your oppression group and then drawing a line back to European or American culture as the reason for oppression. 2.5 years ago my mixed race children did not even understand the concept of race: now virtually every topic is viewed through the lens of racism and oppression. Next year the school will start to focus in on modern gender theory and sex, another topic I do not want taught to my kids. I find this highly toxic and want a school which focuses on academics, and am wondering if there are any recommendations for schools where these ideologies and initiatives are absent or largely absent. While I prefer a non-religious school, I will definitely consider one if I can avoid the JEDI indoctrination.
