Can anyone help or come across this situation??? My girlfriend, a US citizen, 81 years old (going on to a vivacious 70 years) has been a full time resident x 12 years. She was born in Manila to an American, but mother was a Mestiza with US citizenship during the US occupation. Pre-pandemic, my friend had been able to take advantage of the Balikbayan visa by doing quick fly turn-arounds through Hongkong. She had been able to extend her visa through the last 2 years but that privilege expires June 2022; she now needs to get in n out of the country to restart her Balikbayan status. Her plan is to fly to the US, touch base with relatives there for a few weeks, then fly back. The questions are a) insurance with covid coverage for 80+; b) how long you need to be ensured to satisfy the entry requirement since once they stamp her visa as a Balikbayan, she should no longer be restricted to the 30day regular foreigner entry; c) cost?; d) buy the instrument in the US or Phil before departure.
