Davao Safe?

Hi, I'm an Australian with a Davao g/friend. I'm definitely moving to Cebu or Davao for several years. Which one depends sole on safety for a white foreigner in Davao. I'd much rather live the next 12 months in Davao, & then Cebu for a few years.

I'm guessing this has been asked many times - but I'd appreciate it if you could direct me to an appropriate thread with current thoughts? Money is not a problem for me. I understand Cebu is safe for me - but Davao....???
