For those who have read my post over the past 2 years know that I'm retired in the city of Pototan, Iloilo Province on the Island of Panay. As much as planed and expected a wonderful final chapter of my life, everything here has far exceeded my expectation.
I promised to update anyone who's interested on my request for a 13a visa (permanent residency as a spouse of a Filipina)..
I am currently staying under a Balikbayan visa (one year), which I will be updating during my wife and my visit to the states (to attend a family wedding in Boston, via Honolulu for 4 days). to digress, my wife and I will take a non-stop Philippine Air flight to Honolulu, stay 4 days, and take a non-stop Jet Blue flight from Honolulu to Boston. On the way back, we will just stay overnight near the airport, and return the same way.
I have been cleared by NBI's background check and have returned that document to BI in Iloilo. Hopefully, I'll get my probationary (one year) 13a before I leave in early August, but if not, I'll be renewing my Balikbayan Visa when my wife and I return in late August.
