I am 62, been to the Philippines three times and loved it. But always want to get the best information and share with others. I am from Ottawa, Canada. Have a budget but it's quite generous by any standard for the Philippines or even by Canadians standards. I' m interested in finding a good place -- notice i didn't say the best place --- for me. i feel i can afford anywhere in the philippines, but some more than others. BGC and Makati would eat more budget but I'm looking at Palawan, Baguio, Subic, Angeles, or somewhere along the western coast of luzon.
