Price of electricity in the Algarve

Hello all,
my wife and I are moving to the Algarve from the U.S in October where we will be renting. I have read in several place that electricity is expensive there. "Expensive" could be relative you what you are used to paying, so I am wondering if anyone can give me a clue how much electricity costs there in general?
