Best schools for our children

We are exploring moving to either Braga or Coimbra, but most importantly for our move is providing our kids the best educational opportunities possible. We would prefer either a private or public school to help them immerse in the Portuguese culture and language, but want them to also have great support in making that transition and an opportunity to make great friends. What are some of the schools that other expats have found to be a great experience for their school-age kids? Both kids would be in Level 2.
