How're the art scenes?

I'm a painter, and I'd really love to take an extended visit to Romania next year. I'm just wondering, how is the art community there? I'm not particularly expecting to be able to make a living income on my paintings while I'm there, but it would be awesome if there were certain neighbourhoods full of like-minded people. Music, theatre, I love it all.

I know this is a really broad question, but if anyone has any answers, thank you!
