job prospects for a husband in Jeddah

Hi again

While I'm at it, does anybody on the list have experience/insight into how a husband whose wife has accepted a job in Saudi (Jeddah) should go about finding work?

He's an American IT consultant/programmer, so I'm figuring that there must be work opportunities for him in Saudi.

Can he go to SA on his wife's visa, find a job and then apply for a work visa? Is this possible?

Or does he need to go there on a tourist visa to visit her, find a job, and then apply for a work visa?

Anybody seen this done?
