Connect to Xbox 360 live with STC

Greetings everyone. I recently changed my internet to the compound STC service 20mbps. When I had GO I could connect to XBOX live. When I try with STC I get an error at the end about the ip address. I had everything automatic, entered the info manually, restored to default network settings and tried it all again and no luck either wireless or ethernet. Any recommendations on what to do? Calling STC customer support did me no good.
