Riyahd Compounds

Hi! I am from Texas and my husband has an interview in Dubai this weekend. If he accepts then he will either move without us or take myself and my 2 daughters with him. My daughters are 14!and 11.
I have a few questions:
1) are there any compounds that anyone would highly recommend us to choose if we were all going to come?
2) what can we bring other than our clothing and hygiene items? ( kitchen appliance/cookware, movies, books, crockpot, rice cooker, etc???)
3) how are the schools for teens?
4) are there many things to do/visit? ( seeing the night sky, diving, fishing, sightseeing, theaters, dances, etc??
5) is safety an issue and also I've read things about the interaction of women with their spouses, other men, etc....
Any help or information is greatly appreciated. I have to decide if we will come with my husband by Sunday morning and we are so nervous and unsure at this point!! Thank you
