Hi there,
I'm about 10 years away from retirement, a Canadian, and have a strong Scottish background. All of my maternal great-grandparents were born in either Glasgow, Sterling or Inverness and my maternal grandfather was born in Sterling. I have all the documentation to prove it. I've also spent some time in Scotland (and other parts of the UK) myself and love it. I'm a certified TESL teacher, and I wonder if this is a skill that would be in demand in Scotland, especially with the influx of workers from the EU? I'd really like to be able to work for a few years, establish myself and then retire somewhere quiet. Any thoughts from those who live there?
