HELP!

Hi, my name is Jessie. I plan to be in the CT area at the end of 2004, if not, beginning 2005 for several months (flexible). I am looking for a local, established NGO advocating human rights/women's issues. I am pursuing a masters (maybe in Int'l Development, still can't decide) in the fall 2005 in the DC (USA) and would love to get some hands-on experience prior to school.

In addition, I am desperately in need of tips/info on the living accomodation. Most of these NGOs will probably not offer any stipend; any suggestions on how to fund my living? Live-in nanny? Waitressing? I'll do anything =)

Thanks for reading, and thanks even more if you could provide something...anything!

Best Regards,
Jessie
