PLEASE HELP ME

Hi,

I very much need your help !!!!!

I am a spouse of the British citizen currently living with him in UK on
" a limited leave to remain] " visa . In 2 years I will apply for "indefinite leave to remain" and will be considered to be a permanent resident but so far I am a temporary one.

My husband is going to move to Spain in a few months time and get residency and, of course, I want to join him there under the family regrouping laws.

But I am concerned if I can apply for a residency visa to Spain FROM UK (not from Russia) on my "limited leave to remain" visa ???

It is written on the Spanish Embassy site: "If the applicant is not a permanent resident the application will have to be referred to the corresponding Spanish Embassy or Consulate and may be refused".

I also read there that an applicant should be a permanent resident in UK to apply for family regrouping.( thus to have "indefinite leave to remain" ? which Ill get in 2 ys time).

Could you help me with the right information on this issue ...can I apply for Spanish residency from UK while I am on my "limited leave to remain" here ??? Did someone have similar situation ?

Please share your experience with me. I would be very grateful to you for help.

Elena
