VPN (netflix)

We finally have our flights and apartment lined up. We just have to get through Christmas and were off to Marbella for a good look around.
Does anybody use a VPN for security or perhaps for streaming movies (netflix) from the USA or other English location? I am a bit of a Luddite but I am hoping to be able to get some English programming when my lack of good Spanish wears me down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
