Best place in Spain with a temperate climate to live part time as. Canadian

We are considering Spain as a destination for us to retire to part time. We are looking for a location with temperate weather, a reasonable cost of living and many expat activities to be a part of. We have visited Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia. We enjoyed Valencia the most, as it was not as “big city” as Barcelona and Madrid were.
