Curious about Sri Lanka

Hello,
I'm a Canadian who has been dreaming for sometime now, about moving abroad. I've always been drawn to Sri Lanka and more and more I feel like taking the chance and pursuing the dream.

I'm wondering if anyone can offer any advice on things such as getting a visa, work prospects, good places to live, any thing about moving to Sri Lanka would be appreciated. I'm a library technician, so would hope to find work in my field or perhaps starting a small business of my own.

I look forward to any responses.
