We are planning to build a few retirement/holiday villas close to Kandy on a 10 acre land to be rented to foreign retirees planning on retiring in Sri Lanka. This post is to get any feedback from such retirees and to find out what their expectations and needs will be while living in Sri Lanka. The villas will feature the following.
Location: about 25 km from Kandy Town, Sri Lanka, near Kadugannawa and Gampola
View: The estate is located on a higher elevation, therefore occupants will have a panoromic view of the rice fields below and the mountains, a very serene, tranquil setting, perfect for star gazing. See images on:

Maximum # of villas: 7
Size: 1 bed+ 1 bath (indoor)+ kitchenette and some will have 2 bedrooms
Fully Furnished
Cable TV, Internet, Cell Phone (cell phone charges extra)
All 3 meals included (served at your own villa)
Laundry service
Outdoor bath like a hot tub on a deck with a view of the mountains
A common gym for 7 villas, with basic equipment and a Sauna
A visiting Ayurvedic massage therapist can be arranged (at a nominal cost)
Chauffeur with a vehicle when needed will be available (pay per trip)
Pet friendly, have your own cat or friendly dog
A small garden for yourself for anyone with a green finger; have your own little vegetable patch with help from the common gardener (cost included)
Enjoy fresh milk from the estates' own cow, homemade butter, cheese and yogurt included in your meals
Fresh vegetables and fruits from the estate
Assisted living can be arranged if needed at need based cost
Safe and secure with the owner's family living in the estate
You can live peacefully with privacy, yet not alone
Mingle with similar ex pacts if you like
Short term guests are welcome to stay with the occupants, just pay approx. $10 to per day extra for meals
