Studies in Switzerland

Hi! I am a student in Seattle, specializing in Graphic Design, my current plan is to finish the AA degree and move to switzerland to live and finish the studies.. Another option would be to finish the master's degree in the states and than move... I was told that it is impossible to obtain a Swiss permit for students, unless through a school program, but I am interested in permanently moving to Switzerland... can anyone help me with some advices or links? It will be greatly appreciated.
